What Is the Purpose of Covenant Marriage in the Bible? Jason Soroski jasonsoroski.wordpress.com 2020 13 Nov For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish...  We have heard these words repeated in many wedding ceremonies, and if you are married you have likely said them yourself! What does it mean to be in a covenant  marriage , and how does it enrich our lives and fulfill God’s purpose? Throughout history, there have been different cultural definitions of what constitutes a marriage. Yet, at the heart of biblical marriage is a covenant before God to cherish one another and continue to grow as one. At the heart of a covenant marriage is a desire to not just ‘get through’ life together but to thrive together. It means to love, encourage, and cherish one another while constantly seeking Christ in our relationship. The first mention of marriage in Scripture is in the Garden of Eden, recorded in  Genesis 2:24 : “ That is why a man leaves

10 Things Christians Forget When They Leave Church Sunday Morning

10 Things Christians Forget When They Leave Church Sunday Morning Christianity has run into a problem. We have gotten into the habit of putting our spiritual lives into a box labeled “Sunday Mornings Only!” that gets put back on the shelf the second we get home from church. But we are not supposed to compartmentalize our lives into two different categories, “Jesus” and “Everything Else in Life.” Instead our relationship with Jesus should be the storage unit that holds everything else in place. Paul reminds us of this in Colossians 1:9-10 when he says, “We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way.” Notice how Paul’s prayer isn’t to live only Sundays that worthy of the Lord. That’d be too easy! Instead, we need to live all seven days with the patience, love, and joy that we do on Sundays. So, without further ado, here is my list

"If you take Romans 13 (and other scriptures) in Context: God did NOT choose Joe Biden. MAN choose Joe Biden (and will suffer the consequences of that choice.) God established 'AUTHORITIES" the office, the entities, etc. Not always a specific man. Man was given freedom to choose his leaders -God never forces compliance. Rather than God's leadership MAN sought a KING. So God gave man a king and said to follow his authority. 1 Samuel 12:11-13 Here's the good thing though, despite man's horrible choices, all through scripture, it can be seen, that GOD will bring GOOD from ALL -even man's most horrible choices. Allow God to move for GOOD. So, I put my Final TRUST in God. I will trust my leaders. But my FINAL TRUST shall be in God." Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. -Pastor Gregg
