Here's the deal. You may not like me and that is okay. However, you had better love me. I will speak the Truth. I'll be blunt and to the point. Guess what, Christ was! And I'm working to become more like Him. If you're looking for someone to hold your hand and say "It will be okay. You go right ahead and keep falling, keep using, etc. Then I'm not your guy". I will ALWAYS speak the TRUTH, and sometimes it hurts, but TRUTH is Truth and a LIE is a LIE. You can't do both. I WILL NOT be ashamed of the Gospel or of anything from God. I will ALWAYS share the Truth, with BOLDNESS, with Bluntness, and yes I'm very OPINIONATED, but hopefully you'll see my love and heart through all I say and/or what I do. Guess what, if I were just passive with you and keep silent -then I don't really care. Guess what, I DO CARE and I don't want to hear about anyone going to hell because they weren't running the race (1 Corinthians 9). We are talking abou...

GOSSIP

GOSSIP? People of God when will this Stop. Gossip = the spreading of UNKNOWNS (true or not). Leaders will discuss things, but a good leader will get the FACTs before sharing it with the world. GET YOUR FACTS, ALL THE FACTS before you open your mouth! Gossip, often times, is the talk behind someones back when we are just to afriad to approach that person directly. GET YOUR FACTS! OR at least say, "Based on what I know, but I can't clarify it". GET YOUR FACTS! Come on All Chris tians have some INTEGRITY. I WANT TO QUASH SOME GOSSIP I'VE HEARD FROM MULTIPLY SOURCES: Andy and Aubrey Hazelet ARE NOT leaving Element Church! They will be back, doing what they do at Element. They are simply taking a Sabatical for the summer. Exactly like Pastor Jeff did last summer. Come on church! Show some INTEGRITY! One more thing, I am on a two-month sabatical as a jail chaplain. But guess what, I AM still a jail Chaplain, and I will resume my full jail chaplain duties in july. ...

Anxious for Nothing

In this Q&A, Max Lucado (@MaxLucado) talks about his book, Anxious for Nothing: Finding Calm in a Chaotic World (Thomas Nelson, 2017). “POWERFUL” -Pastor Gregg, Next Steps Ministries Max Lucado: Anxiety disorders in the United States are the number one mental health problem among women and are second only to alcohol and drug abuse among men. Some say the United States is now the most anxious nation in the world. The land of the Stars and Stripes has become the country of stress and strife. This is a costly achievement. Stress-related ailments cost the nation $300 billion every year in medical bills and lost productivity, while our usage of sedative drugs keeps skyrocketing; just between 1997 and 2004, Americans more than doubled their spending on anti-anxiety medications like Xanax and Valium, from $900 million to $2.1 billion. The Journal of the American Medical Association cited a study that indicates an exponential increase in depression. People of each generation in ...

It’s Not My Fault! I Blame?

It’s Not My Fault! I Blame? Pastor Gregg Crisp September 17, 2017 I leave Cheyenne at about 2pm for Denver. I have a court date for a D.U.I. charge early the next morning. My Jeep wouldn’t start so I borrowed my mom’s van. With a full tank of gas, a 12 pack of Bud, and the music blaring as I am cruising south on I-25. The next thing I remember is sitting on some lady’s tailgate, on the shoulder of I-25, her giving me water, and me saying “I’m going to jail” Long-story-short, I did not go to jail. I went to the hospital instead and my family posted bail. Later that night I knew I had to call my mom and TRY to tell her what happened. But I wasn’t sure. I knew I wrecked. I knew that my mom’s van was totaled. I knew that I went to the hospital, was arrested, let go, and was at my grandma’s in Denver. But I didn’t remember a thing about the wreck. So, as I sat there with the phone in hand, I began to find excuses. I began to Justify, Rationalize and Blame. As my mom answer...
