CHOICE, It's Yours!

"The book of Exodus is so full of meat for daily living towards God. My take away today is about Choice: God will not force His will upon us. However, that does  not mean that there will not be godly consequences for our choices. Also, God's will and plan will prevail... with or without us. So, what's your choice today?" -pastor Gregg

Compliance

Common Sense will tell us if it's a lie, or should. Wisdom, it's a good thing! If we block people because of their opinions, beliefs, etc. It won't be long until we find ourselves blocked. I may not like or agree with something, but that doesn't give the right to block them. As God never forces compliance, neither can I. Free Speech, I endorse it. My choice may be to ignore a post or the person who made them.

Making the Most of Your Mouth by Lynette Kittle “What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them”— Matthew 15:11 In the current  culture , it seems what goes into the mouth is given much more thought and priority than what comes out of it. Even Jesus and His disciples discussed which is more important. As  Mark 7:18  describes, “Are you so dull?’ He asked. ‘Don’t you see that nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them?’” Sadly in today’s setting much more focus and importance is put into what types of food goes into a mouth, while what comes out of it seems to be given very little thought. Yet Jesus took great care to explain why what goes into the body through the mouth, is not as important as what comes out of it. “Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body?” ( Matthew 15:17 ) Continuing His dialogue with them on the topic, ...

Here's the deal. You may not like me and that is okay. However, you had better love me. I will speak the Truth. I'll be blunt and to the point. Guess what, Christ was! And I'm working to become more like Him. If you're looking for someone to hold your hand and say "It will be okay. You go right ahead and keep falling, keep using, etc. Then I'm not your guy". I will ALWAYS speak the TRUTH, and sometimes it hurts, but TRUTH is Truth and a LIE is a LIE. You can't do both. I WILL NOT be ashamed of the Gospel or of anything from God. I will ALWAYS share the Truth, with BOLDNESS, with Bluntness, and yes I'm very OPINIONATED, but hopefully you'll see my love and heart through all I say and/or what I do. Guess what, if I were just passive with you and keep silent -then I don't really care. Guess what, I DO CARE and I don't want to hear about anyone going to hell because they weren't running the race (1 Corinthians 9). We are talking abou...
Is an apology an apology when you also try to justify or rationalize behavior behind the apology? Hmm, NOT really! You are blaming your behavior on something or someone else. A good godly principle is: "Simply say, I apologize." and leave it there; no excuses, no pointing fingers. Bottom line, even if others behaviors or choices influenced you, YOU had the final choice!

CR Inside

My name is Gregg Crisp. I am the lead pastor of Next StepS Ministries. I am also the Wyoming State Rep. for CR Inside. I am writing today to introduce you to the Celebrate Recovery and Celebrate Recovery Inside programs. I have personally witnessed so many people transformed and set-free by using the Celebrate Recovery tools and programs. Lives are being changed, families are being restored, and people are coming to God through Christ. Celebrate Recovery, unlike other twelve step programs, does not just focus on one issue (say drugs), but Celebrate Recovery (CR) (CRI) focuses on the entire person and any “Hurt, Hang-up, or Habit”. The issue may or could be alcohol, drugs, porn, anxiety, food, anger, pride, control, lust, co-dependency… the list is endless. Celebrate Recovery gets down deep into our behavior and character defects. Often times drinking, drugging, lashing out, excessive TV or video games, etc. are Band-Aids, symptoms of a deeper problem. We must address the “...

Abundance of Life!

Abundance of Life!             It’s the time of year that we celebrate Christ’s birth. Jesus, the Son of God was Born, became a man, died on the cross for you and me, rose from the dead and now sits at the right hand of God. Luke 2:10-12 John 19:16-30 Acts 2:24, 5:32, 10:40 & 13:31 Romans 8:34 Jesus came so that we could be reconciled to God. He came so we could have eternal life. What do we have to do? Nothing! It is a gift from God. Well, not exactly. We must choose to accept God’s gift. We must open the gift. We must believe and put our trust in Him. We can’t earn it, we can’t buy it and we don’t have to be good enough to receive it. Ephesians 2:8 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God”. Now that is stinking awesome, Eternal Life! That is something to celebrate, Amen! But as if that were not enough. There’s even more. In John 10:10b Jesus said, “I came ...
