Here's the deal. You may not like me and that is okay. However, you had better love me. I will speak the Truth. I'll be blunt and to the point. Guess what, Christ was! And I'm working to become more like Him. If you're looking for someone to hold your hand and say "It will be okay. You go right ahead and keep falling, keep using, etc. Then I'm not your guy". I will ALWAYS speak the TRUTH, and sometimes it hurts, but TRUTH is Truth and a LIE is a LIE. You can't do both. I WILL NOT be ashamed of the Gospel or of anything from God. I will ALWAYS share the Truth, with BOLDNESS, with Bluntness, and yes I'm very OPINIONATED, but hopefully you'll see my love and heart through all I say and/or what I do. Guess what, if I were just passive with you and keep silent -then I don't really care. Guess what, I DO CARE and I don't want to hear about anyone going to hell because they weren't running the race (1 Corinthians 9). We are talking about LIFE and DEATH and about FOREVER. This is NOT a game. We MUST quit Playing Church and BE THE CHURCH in all things. Life is short, but Heaven and Hell are FOREVER. I do Not want to be a Matthew 7 guy, So I will speak and seek the truth in ALL THINGS. Even Jesus, Paul, Timothy, Peter, etc. were not always liked, but they were Respected and loved. Repent

At Evident Church, part of our mission is to heal, and empower, men and women that struggle with addiction (99% of us have an addiction). Our community believes that in every mistake, there is potential for healing. Nothing a person can do will close the door forever with God and with a loving and forgiving community- even if that person feels beyond  redemption , is put back in prison, or cannot find sobriety in this life. Our practice is simple: take a step back, apologize, make amends, learn something new, and move on. Once, a women relapsed after she had been working with Pastor Gregg for more than a year. During that time, she borrowed money she would never pay back. She stole from her friends and lied to them too. The damage to her relationships was like a tsunami of destruction. I believe great churches are built by broken people, ministering to other broken people. Brokenness is a willingness to abandon our pride, our pretensions, and our self-righteous posturing. And it is the prerequisite to God’s blessing on our lives and our congregations. Jesus said,  “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven”  (Matthew 5:3 NIV). When we reach the end of our rope and give up our self-sufficiency, that’s when God moves into our lives with healing and growth. Sin is addicting, and “all have sinned.” That means we’ve all created ungodly and unhealthy methods for handling life, so every church needs to have some form of a recovery ministry.
