GOSSIP? People of God when will this Stop. Gossip = the spreading of UNKNOWNS (true or not). Leaders will discuss things, but a good leader will get the FACTs before sharing it with the world. GET YOUR FACTS, ALL THE FACTS before you open your mouth! Gossip, often times, is the talk behind someones back when we are just to afriad to approach that person directly. GET YOUR FACTS! OR at least say, "Based on what I know, but I can't clarify it". GET YOUR FACTS! Come on All Christians have some INTEGRITY.
I WANT TO QUASH SOME GOSSIP I'VE HEARD FROM MULTIPLY SOURCES:
Andy and Aubrey Hazelet ARE NOT leaving Element Church! They will be back, doing what they do at Element. They are simply taking a Sabatical for the summer. Exactly like Pastor Jeff did last summer. Come on church! Show some INTEGRITY!
One more thing, I am on a two-month sabatical as a jail chaplain. But guess what, I AM still a jail Chaplain, and I will resume my full jail chaplain duties in july.
Leaders, yes,even they need a break and a time of refreshing. A time to grow in their walk with God and become better at what they do.

Repent

At Evident Church, part of our mission is to heal, and empower, men and women that struggle with addiction (99% of us have an addiction). Our community believes that in every mistake, there is potential for healing. Nothing a person can do will close the door forever with God and with a loving and forgiving community- even if that person feels beyond  redemption , is put back in prison, or cannot find sobriety in this life. Our practice is simple: take a step back, apologize, make amends, learn something new, and move on. Once, a women relapsed after she had been working with Pastor Gregg for more than a year. During that time, she borrowed money she would never pay back. She stole from her friends and lied to them too. The damage to her relationships was like a tsunami of destruction. I believe great churches are built by broken people, ministering to other broken people. Brokenness is a willingness to abandon our pride, our pretensions, and our self-righteous posturing. And it is the prerequisite to God’s blessing on our lives and our congregations. Jesus said,  “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven”  (Matthew 5:3 NIV). When we reach the end of our rope and give up our self-sufficiency, that’s when God moves into our lives with healing and growth.
