OFFERINGS

Tithes and Offerings, like Salt and Pepper, are two (2) different things. and God requires both! See Luke 6:38 - Malachi 3:8 Notice the example of Abraham (Or the entire Bible). A Tithe should go to your local church where you worship. An Offering (and there are many types) should go to a ministry that you believe in. And, yes, Tithe and Offerings are monetary. You need to trust God and your leaders with these. And, They are NOT your time, service, volunteering, etc. Hey, God said it, not me or Evident Church. With that being said, Absolutely, you may give an Offering of your time, ears, etc. However, your volunteering, service, etc. should never be a substitute for your Tithes and Offerings! This is, briefly, Evident Churches Position. Money, it always angers people when we are told to give it away. So, we say, take it up with God. He gave the requirement.

Tongues

1 Corinthians 14:23 If, therefore, the whole church assembles together and all are speaking in tongues and people who are outsiders or unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your minds? Speaking in tongues does not confirm you are saved or even that you have the Holy Spirit. Firstly, you are saved through Christ and your actions will show that. Secondly, we all have the Holy Spirit after we are saved. Christ said, "I will send you a helper" What's the greatest help? "A changed heart". Evident Church will not encourage speaking in tongues during any of its regular church services. However, with that said, we will not limit the Holy Spirit either. Do we believe in the gift of tongues? Absolutely we do. However, we do not believe everyone receives that gift. A church t

Compliance

Common Sense will tell us if it's a lie, or should. Wisdom, it's a good thing! If we block people because of their opinions, beliefs, etc. It won't be long until we find ourselves blocked. I may not like or agree with something, but that doesn't give the right to block them. As God never forces compliance, neither can I. Free Speech, I endorse it. My choice may be to ignore a post or the person who made them.

BLM

Makes it hard to respect "Black Lives Matter" which I don't respect the organization. Some of my Good friends are black, they would never condone this behavior. Let's riot, burn, fight, turn against authority, etc. Not a godly movement in my view. It's okay, you can dislike me."Black Lives Matter" wants special Treatment (o accountability) they are not for equal treatment. May be I'm wrong, but that's where I stand!
